Open the APU access doors.
(a)
Open the latches on the APU access doors.
(b)
Open the APU access doors.
(c)
Engage the support rods for the APU access doors.

Clean the APU Drain Lines
S 167-005
(1)
Do these steps to clean the drain lines for the APU between the drain collector bracket and the overboard drains:
(a)
At the forward end of the load gearbox, disconnect the four flexible drain lines at the drain collector bracket.
(b)
Blow compressed air through the lines, in the direction of the drain ends.
(c)
Make sure the air comes out of the overboard drains.
(d)
Connect the four drain lines to the drain collector bracket.

Do these steps to clean the drain line for the shroud of the APU fuel line:
(a)
Open the access door, 315AL, to get access to the forward side of the APU compartment.
NOTE: Access door 315AL is installed forward of the
____
APU access doors.
(b)
Disconnect the drain line from the fuel line shroud.
(c)
Blow compressed air through the line, in the direction of the drain end.
(d)
Make sure the air comes out the overboard drain in the drain mast.
(e)
Connect the drain line to the fuel line shroud.

Do these steps to clean the drain line for the APU exhaust duct.
(a)
Disconnect the drain line from the exhaust duct.
(b)
Blow compressed air through the line, in the direction of the drain end.
(c)
Make sure the air comes out the overboard drain.
(d)
Connect the drain line to the exhaust duct.

(4) Examine the inner surfaces of all the access doors for quantities of oil and dirt.

_______ DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM THE SOLVENT. PUT ON A PROTECTIVE SPLASH GOGGLE AND GLOVES WHEN YOU USE A SOLVENT. KEEP THE SOLVENT AWAY FROM SPARKS, FLAME, AND HEAT. THE SOLVENT CAN BE POISIONOUS AND FLAMMABLE WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Clean all the access doors with the solvent.

Use compressed air to dry the access doors.

Make sure that all the drains in the access doors are clear.

Clean the external surfaces of the access doors.

Close the access door 315AL.
