 CAUTION: FAILURE TO SET TRANSFER SCREW TO MANUAL (180 DEGREES
_______ COUNTERCLOCKWISE) PRIOR TO CRANKING WILL RESULT IN ACTUATOR DAMAGE. DO NOT EXCEED 25 LB-IN (2.825 N-m) OF TORQUE AT DRIVE SOCKET. A SHARP TORQUE RISE WILL OCCUR AT END OF ACTUATOR TRAVEL. APPROACH CAUTIOUSLY.
 (4)  The door may be opened or closed by handcrank if a component failure prevents electrical operation. Prior to using handcrank, the electrical/manual transfer screw must be set to the manual position (180-degree turn counterclockwise). The drive socket must be rotated counterclockwise to close door and clockwise to open door. When returning to electrical mode, clockwise pressure must be applied to the transfer screw while the manual crank is used to rotate the gears into position. When in position, the transfer screw will complete the 180-degree clockwise rotation to the electrical mode position.  APU AIR INLET - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains the tasks to do the deactivation and the activation of the air inlet door for the APU. Use these tasks if the air inlet door does not operate correctly. This procedure gives the steps to do these tasks:
 (1)  
APU Air Inlet Door Deactivation In Closed Position (Manual Actuator Operation)

 (2)  
APU Air Inlet Door Deactivation (Fixed Link Installation)

 (3)  
APU Air Inlet Door Activation (Fixed Link Removal)

 (4)  
APU Air Inlet Door Activation (Manual Actuator Operation)

 B.  
If the air inlet door is open during the flight, close the door as soon as it is possible. A closed air inlet door will not permit the APU to turn freely during the flight.
