Open the APU access doors.
(c)
Engage the support rods for the APU access doors.

Remove the door position switch:
(a)
Disconnect the switch connector D7427P from the firewall receptacle.
(b)
Remove the lockwire from the door position switch.
(c)
Loosen the nut that attaches the door position switch to the mounting adapter.
(d)
Remove the door position switch from the mounting adapter. 1) Keep the key washer and the nut with the switch.

(1)
Install the door position switch:
(a)
Move the nut and the washer to the end of the switch with the nameplate on it.
(b)
Install the door position switch in the mounting adapter. 1) Do not connect the switch or tighten the nut at this time.
(c)
Adjust the door position switch (Ref par. 4).

Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU control switch on the P5 panel.

Close the APU access doors:
(a)
Do a visual check of the EGT bus bars: 1) Make sure the bus bars are not damaged. 2) Make sure no metal parts touch the bus bars. 3) Make sure the bus bars do not touch each other.
