 CAUTION:_______ DO NOT LET THE LUBRICANT TOUCH THE CONDUCTORS IN THE TWO
 IGNITION CABLES.  A HIGH RESISTANCE BETWEEN THE TWO IGNITER
 PLUGS AND IGNITION EXCITER WILL RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE TWO

 IGNITION CABLES.
 (9)  
Lightly apply the spray lubricant to the seal seat area at the ends of the two ignition cables (5).

 Connect the two ignition cables (5) to the ignition exciter (6).


 CAUTION: DO NOT LET THE BRAIDS OR FERRULES OF THE TWO IGNITION
_______ CABLES MOVE WHEN YOU TIGHTEN THE TWO COUPLING NUTS. DAMAGE TO THE TWO IGNITION CABLES CAN OCCUR.
 (a)  Tighten the two coupling nuts with your fingers plus 1/8 of a turn.

 Connect the electrical connector D95006 (P6) (7) to the ignition exciter (6).

 (a)  
Tighten the coupling ring on the electrical connector D95006 (P6) (7) until the electrical connector is at the bottom of the receptacle and the connection is tight.

 (b)  
Make sure the electrical connection is not loose when you move the APU harness.

 Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and install collars on these circuit breakers:

 (a)

 (c)  
P414 Power Distribution Center - Left Panel
 1) 414R18, FUEL BOOST PUMP MAIN AFT 2

 Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU control switch on the P5 overhead panel.

 Attach a preservation tag, with the date of preservation on it, to the APU control switch.

 Do a preservation of the APU oil system:

 (a)  
Do this task: Drain the APU Oil (AMM 12-22-02/301).

 (b)  
Remove the oil from the clutch housing of the starter motor: 1) Do this task: Starter Motor Removal (AMM 49-41-01/401). 2) Remove the oil plug and seal washer from the clutch


 housing. 3) Let the oil fully drain from the clutch housing of the
 starter motor. 4) Put the seal washer on the oil plug. 5) Install the oil plug in the oil hole on the clutch housing. 6) Tighten the oil plug to 248-283 inch-pounds (28.0-32.0
 newton-meters).
 NOTE: The minimum rundown torque is 25.0 inch-pounds
____ (2.8 newton-meters).

 7)  Do this task: Starter Motor Installation (AMM 49-41-01/401).

 Attach a preservation tag, with the date of preservation on it, to the oil filler cap for the APU.

 Make sure the humidity in the APU does not go higher than 40 percent:


 (a)  Put the dessicant bags and the humidity indicators in the inlet
 duct and the exhaust duct of the APU.
 (b)  Install plugs, caps, and covers on all the APU ports and
 openings.
 (c)  Supply windows such that you can see the humidity indicators.
 (d)  Examine the humidity indicators each fourteen days if the
 airplane is in an open area.
 (e)  Examine the humidity indicators each 30 days if the airplane is
