WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE APPLICABLE (LEFT OR RIGHT) PNEUMATIC
_______ MANIFOLD PRESSURE GAGE IS AT ZERO BEFORE YOU TRY TO DISCONNECT THE SYSTEM. IF YOU DISCONNECT THE SYSTEM WHEN THERE IS PRESSURE, INJURY CAN OCCUR.
(a)
Loosen the retainer (14) on the pneumatic line.
(b)
Remove the retainer and sleeve (14) from the PDU.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU HOLD THE DRIVE SHAFT WHEN YOU DISENGAGE
_______ THE COUPLING. THE VARIABLE CAMBER FLAPS CAN MOVE SUDDENLY IF YOU DO NOT HOLD THE DRIVE SHAFT. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(c)
Loosen the coupling (41).
(d)
Disengage the drive shaft (32) from each side of the PDU (Detail B, Fig. 201).
(e)
Remove the mounting bolts (17 and 28).
(f)
Remove the PDU (4, 5, 6, or 7).

CAUTION: MAKE SURE TO DRAIN ALL THE OIL FROM THE POWER DRIVE UNIT (PDU)
_______ WHEN YOU REMOVE THE PDU FOR TRANSPORTATION OR STORAGE. PERMIT APPROXIMATELY 20 TO 30 MINUTES FOR THE ALL THE OIL TO DRAIN FROM THE PDU. IF THERE IS OIL IN THE PDU, THE OIL CAN DRAIN ON THE SERVOMOTORS AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(4)
Drain the oil from the PDU:
(a)
Remove the plugs (22 and 25).
(b)
Attach tags on the PDU to identify there is no oil in the PDU.
(c)
Install the plugs (22 and 25) and the o-rings (23 and 26).
