Put the control valve in its position and install the bolts and washer.
(c)
Install the four hydraulic lines on the control valve.

Put the speed brake lever in the DOWN position.

Adjust the control valve:
(a)
Adjust the length of the control rod until you can easily install the rig pin SB-2.
(b)
Tighten the checknuts on the control rod.
(c)
Install the cotter pins in the bolts that attach the control rod.
(d)
Remove the rig pin SB-2.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a)
P180 DC Power Distribution Panel
1) 180E22 LATERAL CONT VLV SYS 4

Put the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER - WING system 4 switch on the overhead panel P5 to NORM.

Do this task to pressurize hydraulic system No. 4: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (Ref 29-11-00/201).

Extend and retract the speed brakes to bleed the hydraulic system.

Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position.

Do a test of the ground spoilers:
(a)
Put the speed brake lever in the FLIGHT position.
1) Make sure that the spoilers No. 5 thru 8 move to the 20-degree position.
(b)
Put the speed brake lever in the UP position.
1) Make sure that the spoilers No. 5 thru 8 move to the 45-degree position.
(c)
Put the speed brake lever in the DOWN position.
1) Make sure that the spoilers No. 5 thru 8 move to the down position.

(10) Make sure there is no leakage at the hydraulic connections and the control valve.

E. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

(Ref 29-11-00/201).

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO REMOVE THE
_______ DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

1. General_______
A. There are four tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of a ground spoiler control package. There is also a task for the removal and a task for the installation of a thermal relief valve.
