(6) S 862-009Do this task to depressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4: "Hydraulic System Depressurization" (AMM 29-11-00/201)
(7) S 862-011Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(8) S 862-012Put the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER - WING system 4 switch on the pilots' overhead panel, P5, to the SHUTOFF position.
(9) S 862-013Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags: (a) P180, DC Power Distribution Panel 1) 180E22, LATERAL CONT VLV SYS 4

Open the wing access panel below the spoiler control package (572CB, left wing; 672CB, right wing).

Remove the control package:
(a)
Remove the bolt (12), washer (15) and nut (14) to disconnect the control package (1) piston rod end from the spoiler. 1) Use the antirotation plate to hold the bolt.
(b)
Remove the bushings (13) from the spoiler.
(c)
Remove the bolt (16), washers (9) and nut (11) to remove the antirotation plate (10) if it is necessary.
(d)
Put a container below the control package to catch the hydraulic fluid.
(e)
Disconnect the hydraulic lines (2, 3, 4, and 5) from the control package (1).

Remove the four bolts (6), eight washers (7), and four nuts (8) to remove the control package.
