(11) If you replaced flap No. 6 or 21, do a check of the distance between the flap and nacelle fairing (Section A-A, Fig. 402):
(a) Make sure the LE flaps are fully extended.
(b) Remove the flap to nacelle seal if it is necessary.
(c) Measure the dimension A and the clearance (Section A-A and
Detail A, Fig. 402).
(d) At each of the dimensions A given below, make sure the
clearance between the flap and nacelle fairing is as given.
NOTE:____ The clearance increases as Dimension A increases.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE FLAPS
_______ BEFORE YOU MOVE THE REVERSE THRUST LEVERS. THE ENGINE THRUST REVERSER SLEEVES WILL OPEN IN 1-1/2 SECONDS AND CLOSE IN 4-1/2 SECONDS WHEN YOU OPERATE THE LEVERS. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(16) Do this task to pressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (AMM 29-11-00/201).
NOTE: Hydraulic power is not necessary if you use the reverse

thrust levers to retract and extend the flaps.

Move the flap control lever to full UP detent to retract the LE flaps pneumatically.
