 CAUTION:  MAKE SURE THE MARK ON THE NAMEPLATE OF THE POWER DRIVE UNIT IS

 88.7 TURNS. IF THE MARK IS NOT 88.7 TURNS, DAMAGE TO THE POWER DRIVE UNIT CAN OCCUR.
 CAUTION:  MAKE SURE THE DRIVE UNIT INSTALLED AT THE 2L OR 2R POSITION IS
_______
 ONE OF THESE TWO:

 -PART NO. 60B80042-25 OR LATER ODD DASH NUMBER
 -THE ALLIED SIGNAL, BOEING, AND PRESSURE REGULATOR PART NUMBERS ON THE DRIVE UNIT ARE ALL FOLLOWED BY (400).
 AN INSTALLATION OF A DIFFERENT DRIVE UNIT AT THESE LOCATIONS CAN CAUSE DECREASED TORQUE OUTPUT.
 (1)  Install the power drive unit (PDU) (Fig. 201):
 NOTE: If the pressure pump is not available, it will be necessary
____ to fill the PDU with oil before installation in the aircraft. PDU is sensitive to orientation when it is filled with oil on the ground. If it is filled with oil and tipped on its side (or upside down), oil can accumulate in the gearbox breather and on the first operation after installation, oil will spray out on the unit and PDU will look like having an oil leak.
 (a)  
If you install used drive shaft (32) and coupling (41), make sure the worn areas are not out of tolerance (Fig. 204).

 (b)  
Align the mounting lug (27) on the PDU with the structure.

 (c)  
Attach the PDU to the structure with the bolt (28), washers (29), clamp-up bushing (30) and nut (31).

 (d)  
Put the PDU in its position.

 CAUTION:_______ MAKE SURE YOU CAN EASILY INSTALL THE BOLTS. THIS IS TO MAKE SURE THAT THE DRIVE UNIT ALIGNS CORRECTLY. IF THE DRIVE UNIT IS NOT ALIGNED, DAMAGE TO MOUNTING LUG CAN OCCUR.
 (e)  Install two mounting bolts (17) and washers (18).
 (2)  S 612-021Do this task: "Leading Edge Flap Power Drive Unit Lubrication" (AMM 12-13-12/301).
