_______ BEFORE YOU SUPPLY PNEUMATIC POWER. IF THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER IS IN THE FULL UP DETENT AND THE TE FLAPS ARE RETRACTED, THE LE FLAPS WILL RETRACT WHEN YOU SUPPLY PNEUMATIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Do this task: "Supply Pneumatic Power" (AMM 36-00-00/201).

 Do this task to pressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (AMM 29-11-00/201).


 NOTE: Hydraulic power is not necessary if the TE flaps are extended

MAINTENANCE MANUAL

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE
_______ AND TE FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (a)  Operate the flaps electrically in each direction to make sure the alternate drive electrical connector is correctly installed.
 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE
_______ FLAPS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE REVERSE THRUST LEVERS. THE ENGINE THRUST REVERSER SLEEVES WILL OPEN IN 1 1/2 SECONDS AND CLOSE IN 4 1/2 SECONDS WHEN YOU OPERATE THE LEVERS. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (b)  
Put the flap control lever in the 5 unit detent to extend the LE flaps pneumatically. 1) Make sure the LE flaps extend fully in approximately ten

 seconds.

 (c)  
Put the flap control lever in the full UP detent to retract the flaps pneumatically. 1) Make sure the LE flaps retract fully in approximately ten


 seconds after the TE flaps are retracted.
 G. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
