CAUTION: DO NOT ELECTRICALLY EXTEND OR RETRACT THE FLAPS MORE THAN
_______ ONE TIME IN 5 MINUTES. DAMAGE TO THE MOTOR CAN OCCUR IF THE MOTOR BECOMES TOO HOT.
(a)
Retract the flaps electrically: 1) Push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to put the flap system in
the alternate control. 2) Put the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to the RET position.
(b)
Make sure the LE flaps retract in 75-100 seconds after the inboard TE flaps retracted.
NOTE: The PDU will stop operation automatically.

(c)
To extend the LE flaps electrically, put the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch in the EXT position.
(d)
Make sure the LE flaps extend approximately in 75-100 seconds.
NOTE: The indication system can help you find the operation

(e) Make sure the PDU stop operation automatically.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE
_______ LEADING EDGE FLAPS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE ALTN FLAPS ARM SWITCH. IF THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER MOVED DURING THE ALTERNATE OPERATION, THE LE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY WHEN THE ALTN FLAPS ARM SWITCH IS IN THE OFF POSITION. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(f)
Put the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to the OFF position.
(g)
Push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to put the system in the usual operation.
