Deactivate the leading edge flaps and install safety locks (Ref 27-81-00/201).
(m)
Align the flap fittings with the rotary actuator.
(n)
Connect the LE flaps to the rotary actuator (Section A-A, Fig. 504).
(o)
Tighten the nuts 290-410 pound-inches.
(p)
Install the bonding jumpers.

If adjustment of all the flaps on a drive unit is necessary and you use rigging set G27013, do these steps:
(a)
Disconnect the drive shafts between the rotary actuators.
(b)
Hold the applicable G27013 against the points between the rotary actuator arm and the actuator link (Fig. 506).
(c)
Manually extend the flaps until the angles between the actuator arm and the actuator link connect with the rigging set.
(d)
Install the drive shafts on the rotary actuators.

Remove the safety locks and reactivate the leading edge flaps (Ref 27-81-00/201)

Retract the LE flaps pneumatically.

Do a check on the flap profile (Section D-D, Fig. 502).

Adjust each actuator.

Adjust the flap links.
(a)
Disconnect the drive shafts adjacent to the actuator.
(b)
Turn the actuator spline in the necessary direction.
NOTE: The flap trailing edge will move 0.054 inch with

one spline tooth turn.
1) Hold the other drive shafts linkages during the adjustment.
(c)
Connect the drive shaft to the actuator.
(d)
Connect the coupling with screws.
(e)
Install the lockwire.
(f)
Retract the LE flaps and again do a check on the flap profile (Section D-D, Fig. 502).

Make sure the difference between the flap trailing edge and the wing structure is not out of tolerance (Sections A-A and B-B).
(a)
If it is out of tolerance, adjust the LE flaps (Fig. 502). 1) Extend the group of LE flaps that adjustment is necessary.

2) Deactivate the extended leading edge flaps and install
safety locks (Ref 27-81-00/201). 3) Adjust the shim thickness to align the trailing edge flaps. 4) Apply the primer to all the bare areas on the shims. 5) Install the shims.

6) Remove the safety locks and reactivate the leading edge flaps (Ref 27-81-00/201). 7) Move the flap control lever to full UP detent to retract the LE flaps.
