(h) Connect the actuator input control rod to the idler crank with the bolt, washer, nut and spacer.
NOTE: If necessary, compress the brake spring and rotate the

(8) Use the spring scale to do the test of the friction in the speed brake system. (a) Lift the speed brake lever out of the DOWN detent. (b) Put the spring scale at the end of the speed brake lever. (c) Measure the force necessary to move the speed brake lever in the up direction. 1) Make sure the force necessary to move from the DOWN position to the FLIGHT position is not more than 30 pounds (133 Nm). 2) Make sure the force necessary to move from the FLIGHT position to the UP position is not more than 30 pounds (133 Nm). (d) Measure the force necessary to move the speed brake lever in the down direction.
1) 2) Make sure the force necessary to move from the UP position to the FLIGHT position is not more than 25 pounds (111 Nm).Make sure the force necessary to move from the FLIGHT position to the DOWN position is not more than 25 pounds. (111 Nm)
