(1)
Put the speed brake lever in the DOWN position.

Open the following circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:

P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7G6, SPEED BRAKE AUTO CONT

(3) Remove the third center ceiling panel forward of the main entry door No. 1: (AMM 25-59-01/401).

Disconnect the electrical connector DX432 from the actuator.

Remove the actuator (Fig. 401):
(a)
Remove the bolt (5), bushing (6), washer (7), and nut (8) to disconnect the actuator (4) from the idler assembly.
NOTE: Make sure the piston on the actuator is fully retracted.

(b)
Remove the bolt (1), washer (2), and nut (3) to disconnect the actuator from the support bracket.
(c)
Remove the actuator.
