 (c)  Make sure the outboard wing LE flap aligns with the adjacent
 flaps.
 (d)  If you will install the rotary actuator on the LE flap at the
 center of the wing, make sure there is no movement of the
 system.
 (e)  Install the drive shafts (7) into the adjacent installed rotary
 actuator to engage the spline to the maximum.
 (f)  Align the bearing retainer (8) with the mounting bolt holes.
 (g)  With the actuator drain (12) pointed in the down direction,
 engage (not fully) the actuator output spline (2) with the flap
 linkage.
 NOTE: The buttons on the internal diameter of the actuator____
 cover will align with the detents on the external
 diameter of actuator housing.
 (h)  Turn the actuator input shaft to align the mounting bolt holes.
 (i)  Use the mounting bolts (3 and 10) or pins to keep the actuator
 aligned.
 (j)  To engage the input spline (9), move the rotary actuator (1) in
 its position while you turn the input shaft lightly to engage
 the nearest spline.
 NOTE: The input shaft must not turn more than 10 degrees in____
 each direction.
 (k)  Install the rotary actuator (1) with eight mounting bolts (3
 and 10), washers (4) and locknuts (5).
 (l)  Tighten the locknuts to 150-200 pound-inches.
 (m)  Install the bonding jumper (11) (flaps 6 thru 10 and 17 thru
 21).
 (n)  Align the drive shaft (7) with the external spline (2) on the
 input shaft.
 (o)  Install two screws (13).
 (p)  Install the lockwire.

_______ LE FLAP SAFETY LOCKS. THE LE FLAPS CAN MOVE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT DO THE STEPS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (3)  Do this task: "Safety Lock Removal and Leading Edge Flap Activation" (AMM 27-81-00/201).

Operate the flaps electrically:

 (a)  
Push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to put the flap system in alternate control.
