 (1)  
Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) 7G6, SPEED BRAKE AUTO CONT

 (2)  
Remove the ceiling lining panel on the left side at station 325 (AMM 25-59-01/401).

 (3)  
Remove the speed brake cables SBA and SBB from the mechanism:

 (a)  
Loosen the turnbuckles on the speed brake cables.

 (b)  
Remove the cables from the mechanism.


 NOTE: The installation of cable clamp blocks may prevent a
____ loose cable from moving off the pulleys.

Remove the speed brake mechanism:

 (a)  
Remove the tension spring from the cam follower lever and move the lever away from the mechanism.

 (b)  
Remove the rod, bolt, washer, nut and spacer to disconnect the manual input control rod from the mechanism.

 (c)  
Remove the actuator input control rod from the idler crank: 1) Remove the bolt, washer, nut and spacer from the idler crank. 2) Loosen the locknut on the rod end at the speed brake

 mechanism. 3) Remove the rod from the rod end at the mechanism.

 (d)  
Remove the bolt, washer and nut to disconnect the input control rod for the transducer from the mechanism.
