Remove the Alternate Electric Motor

Disconnect the electrical connector P203 (37) from the alternate electric motor (36).

Remove the alternate electric motor (36) (Fig. 201):
(a)
Remove the three mounting bolts (35).
(b)
Pull the motor (36) axially to disengage the splines.
(c)
Remove the motor from the airplane.

Remove the alternate electric motor seal (56) with the steps that follow (Fig. 201):
(a)
Use a screwdriver to remove the seal (56) from the housing.
(b)
Put a cover on the opening in the PDU.

(1)
Install the alternate electric motor seal (56) with the steps that follow (Fig. 201):
(a)
Apply a layer of the primer on the O/D of the seal (56).
(b)
Remove the cover from the PDU opening.
(c)
Use a guide tool to install the replacement seal (56)

Install the alternate electric motor (Fig. 201):
(a)
Apply a thin layer of grease to the motor spline.
(b)
Engage the motor splines with the PDU.
(c)
Install the motor (36).
(d)
Install three mounting bolts (35) and washers (34).

(3) Install the electrical connector P203 (37) (and clamp, if it is available).
