1) Adjust the length of the linkage adjustment rod until the speed brake lever can move smoothly off the lifter lever and on the detent plate.
2) Make sure the speed brake lever can move smoothly back on the lifter lever. 3) Make sure Dimension X is 0.03 inch (.76 mm) minimum (Detail B).
(e)
Move the reverse thrust lever No. 2 to the idle position.
(f)
Move the reverse thrust lever No. 4 to the full reverse thrust position.
(g)
Do a check on the operation of the speed brake lever. 1) Make sure the the speed brake lever moves smoothly off the lifter lever and on the detent plate. 2) Make sure the speed brake lever can move easily back on the lifter lever. 3) Make sure Dimension X is 0.03 inch (.76 mm ) minimum
(Detail B). 4) Adjust the linkage adjustment rod if it is necessary.
(h)
Move the reverse thrust lever No. 4 to the idle position.
(i)
Do a check on the operation of the speed brake lever again. 1) Move the reverse thrust lever No. 2 to the reverse thrust position. 2) Make sure the speed brake lever operation agrees with all
the conditions specified. 3) Move the reverse thrust lever No. 2 to the idle position.

4) Move the reverse thrust lever No. 4 to the reverse thrust position. 5) Make sure the speed brake lever operation agrees with all the conditions specified.
(j)
Do these steps if the speed brake lever operation does not agree with all the conditions specified: 1) Loosen the brearing support bolts. 2) Adjust the position of the upper shaft.
(k)
Tighten the checknuts.
NOTE: Do not adjust the actuating lever again.

Adjust the switch:
(a)
Make sure the clearance between the actuator arm and the detent plate (Dimension X) is 0.01-0.02 inch (.25-.51 mm) (Detail B).
(b)
Move the reverse thrust levers No. 2 or 4 or install the block or shim to get the clearance.
NOTE: A stop is installed above the actuator arm to prevent
____ too much movement of the actuator arm.
(c)
Turn the switch adjustment screw clockwise until there is continuity between terminals 2 and 3 of the terminal block T715.
(d)
Turn the switch adjustment screw counterclockwise until there is continuity between terminals 1 and 2 of the terminal block T715.
NOTE: Do not turn the switch adjustment screw through the
____ position where you first get the continuity between the terminals 1 and 2.
(e) Tighten the nut to lock the switch adjustment screw.
NOTE: Do not adjust the screw again to change the switch
____
operation point.
(f) Remove the block or shim from the actuating lever.

(7) Do the test of the automatic extension of the speed brakes:
(a) Put the speed brake lever in the DOWN position.
(b) Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:
1) P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
a) 7F22, LANDING GEAR DSP & CONT PRI
b) 7F23, LANDING GEAR DSP & CONT ALTN
(c) Put all of the reverse thrust levers in the FORWARD IDLE
position.
(d) Put the reverse thrust lever No. 2 in the reverse thrust
