(3) Do this task to pressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (Ref 29-11-00/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(4) Move the flap control lever to the 5 unit detent to extend the leading edge (LE) flaps.
NOTE: You can also extend the flaps electrically.

E. Procedure

(1)
Remove the offset gearbox:
(a)
To help with assembly, install a clamp and make a mark of the positions of the input and output drive shafts.
(b)
Remove the screws (15) that attach the drive shaft coupling to the gearbox input shaft.
(c)
Disengage the drive shaft (16).
(d)
Remove the screws (13) that attach the drive shaft couplings to the gearbox output shaft.
