Install the new O-rings (19 and 21) and backup rings (18 and 20) on the cap (22) and valve (17). 1) Apply the hydraulic fluid or the assembly lube to the
O-rings, the backup rings and the threads of the fittings.
(b)
Use a 5/8-18 bolt to install the valve. 1) Tighten the cap to 60-70 pound-inches (6.78-7.91Nm). 2) Install the lockwire on the cap.

_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.
(1) Put the flap control lever in the UP detent to retract the trailing edge flaps.

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the speed brake sequence mechanism.
(1)
The removal procedure has these parts:
(a)
The installation of the landing gear door locks
(b)
The extension of the spoilers
(c)
The removal of the sequence mechanism.
(2)
The installation procedure has these parts:
(a)
The installation of the sequence mechanism
(b)
The application of hydraulic power
(c)
A test of the sequence mechanism
(d)
The removal of hydraulic power
(e)
The removal of the landing gear door locks.
