Do these tasks to replace the variable camber flap if the damage is out of tolerance: "Variable Camber Flap Removal" and "Variable Camber Flap Installation" (AMM 27-81-02/401).
NOTE:____The LE flaps No. 1E-5 and 22-26E are interchangeable. The LE flaps No. 7-10 and 17-20 are interchangeable.

(4) If the damage is not out of tolerance, repair the damage

FLAP POWER DRIVE UNIT AND INSTALLED COMPONENTS - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General_______
A. There are 14 tasks in this procedure to replace the PDU and the
components installed on the PDU. The procedure has these tasks:

The removal of the power drive unit
(2)
The installation of the power drive unit
(3)
The removal of the LEFDU Oil Observation Window Assembly (oil level view glass assembly)
(4)
The installation of the LEFDU Observation Window Assembly (oil level view glass assembly)
(5)
The removal of the alternate electric motor and seal
(6)
The installation of the alternate electric motor
(7)
The removal of the directional control servomotor
(8)
The installation of the direction control servomotor
(9)
The removal of the rectifier and primary solenoid valve assembly
(10)
The installation of the rectifier and primary solenoid valve assembly
(11)
The removal of the alternate solenoid valve
(12)
The installation of the alternate solenoid valve
(13)
AIRPLANES WITH THE DRIVE UNIT 60B80042-36 OR LOWER DASH NUMBER; The removal of the overpressure switch The installation of the overpressure switch

The replacement of the alternate drive motor seal.
B.
The leading edge (LE) flap power drive unit (PDU) is installed in the leading edge wing structure by three bolts. You can get easy access to the PDU when the LE flaps extended. The PDU has one pneumatic connection and two electrical connectors.
C.
When installed in the airplane with the LE flaps extended, the lower side of the PDU gives access to these components:

The electrical power plugs
(2)
The solenoid valves
(3)
The alternate electric motor assembly
(4)
The primary servomotor
(5)
The oil drain and filler plugs.
