Remove the third center ceiling panel forward of the main entry door No. 1: (AMM 25-59-01/401).

Remove the control lever lock:
(a)
Disconnect the electrical wire from the solenoid.
(b)
Remove the pin that attaches the link on the solenoid to the lever crank.
(c)
Use the internal hex wrench to remove the retaining nut from the stop lever.
(d)
Remove the stop lever crank.
(e)
Remove the booster spring from the stop lever: 1) Remove the screw and spacer that attach the lower end of
the spring. 2) Disconnect the spring from the stop lever.
(f)
Remove the bearing housings, spacer and stop lever.
(g)
Remove the bolts and remove the solenoid from the mounting bracket.

E. Procedure

(1)
Install the control lever lock:
(a)
Install the solenoid on the mounting bracket with the bolts.
(b)
Put the stop lever in its position in the mounting bracket.
(c)
Install the spacer and the bearing housing.
(d)
Apply the corrosion preventive compound to the splines on the stop lever and the retaining nut.
(e)
Install the stop lever crank on the stop lever.
(f)
Use the internal hex wrench to install the retaining nut on the stop lever crank.
