Install the rig pin through the outer rig pin hole of the crank and slot in the bracket.

Do these steps if the indication is out of tolerance:
(a)
Adjust the control rod to its nominal adjustment length.
(b)
Loosen the screws clamping the body of the transmitter.
(c)
Turn the body of the transmitter to indicate 0 | 0.2 degree.
(d)
Tighten the screws clamping in the body of the transmitter to a torque of 5-10 pound-inches. 1) Make sure that you do not turn the body of the transmitter.
(e)
Adjust the control rod, if it is necessary, to get an
indication of 0 | 0.2 degree.
(f)
Install the lockwire on the thumb nut of the control rod.
(11)
Remove the rig pin from the transmitter assembly.

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of the spoiler position transmitter. The procedure has these parts:

The removal of the spoiler position transmitter
(2)
The installation of the replacement transmitter
(3)
The adjustment of the transmitter.
B.
The removal and installation procedure is the same for the No. 4 or the No. 12 spoiler position transmitter.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
