Do the operational test of the group A leading edge flaps during reverse thrust operation.

Do a test on the alternate operation of the LE flap system.
(a)
Move the flap control lever to the full UP detent.
1) Make sure the LE flaps retract.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE WING
_______ LE BEFORE YOU EXTEND THE FLAPS. FLAPS EXTEND AND RETRACT QUICKLY AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: DO NOT ELECTRICALLY EXTEND OR RETRACT THE FLAPS MORE THAN
_______ ONE TIME IN 5 MINUTES. DAMAGE TO THE MOTOR CAN OCCUR IF THE MOTOR BECOMES TOO HOT.
(b)
On the pilot's center panel, push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to put the flap system in alternate control. 1) Make sure the expanded flap display comes into view.
(c)
Move the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to the EXT position.
(d)
Move the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to the OFF position when the flaps are at flaps 5 (as shown on EICAS). 1) Make sure the flaps stop at flaps 5.
(e)
Move the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to the RET position. 1) Make sure the LE and TE flaps retract.
NOTE: LE flaps will not retract until the inboard TE flaps

are fully retracted.
2) Make sure the LE flaps retract to within 1 inch maximum of fully faired position.

Move the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to the OFF position.
(g)
Push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to put the system in the usual position. 1) Make sure the LE flaps move to the fully retracted
position.
