Do this task if you install a used bolt or bushing: "Variable Camber FLap Actuating Linkage Inspection/Check" (AMM 27-81-08/601).

Install the actuating linkage:
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL THE WASHERS CORRECTLY ON
_______ LINK CD. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE WASHERS CORRECTLY, THE BEARING IN THE LINK CAN MOVE AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE LINK.
(a)
Install the two links CD (Fig. 401).
(b)
Tighten the nut to 300-350 pound-inches.
(c)
Install the torque tube and the link ABG.
(d)
Tighten the nut to 2000-2500 pound-inches with the torque adapter.

VARIABLE CAMBER FLAP ACTUATING LINKAGE - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is a check of the actuating linkage of the variable camber flap. The second task is a visual check of the actuating linkage with the torque tube.
B. The check of the actuating linkage measures the fit of the bearing/torque tube, bushing/spacer, bearing/bolt, bushing/bolt and spacer/bolt (Fig. 601).
