 NOTE:____ PDU (not installed on airplane) is sensitive to orientation when it is filled with oil on the ground. If it is filled with oil and tipped on its side (or upside down), oil can accumulate in the gearbox breather and on the first operation after installation, oil will spray out on the unit and PDU will look like having an oil leak.
 (3)  S 642-022Lubricate the o-rings (15) for pneumatic fittings with silicone fluid.
 (4)  S 422-163Install the o-rings (15).
 (5)  S 822-023Align the pneumatic duct (16) with the pneumatic outlet on the PDU.
 (6)  S 822-164Align the sleeve and the retainer (14).
 (7)  S 432-165Tighten the retainer screw to 3-5 pound-inches more than the run-on torque.
 (8)  S 432-024Connect these primary (pneumatic) drive power electrical connectors (13): (a) DM876 and DM885 (PDU No. 1) (b) DM878 and DM883 (PDU No. 2) (c) DM879 and DM882 (PDU No. 3) (d) DM880 and DM881 (PDU No. 4)
 (9)  S 432-025Connect these alternate (electrical) drive power electrical connectors (33): (a) DM876B and DM885B (PDU No. 1) (b) DM878B and DM883B (PDU No. 2) (c) DM879B and DM882B (PDU No. 3)

 LE FLAP SAFETY LOCKS.  THE LE FLAPS CAN MOVE QUICKLY IF YOU DO

 WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
 FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP
 CONTROL LEVER.  WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL
 MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP
 CONTROL LEVER.  THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO
 EQUPIMENT.

 (13) Make sure that the flap control lever is in the 5 unit detent (minimum) and in the same position as the trailing edge (TE) flaps.
 NOTE: This check is to make sure that the flaps will not move
____ suddenly when you supply pneumatic and hydraulic power.

 Do this task: "Supply Pneumatic Power" (Ref 36-00-00/201).

 (15)
 Do a check of the Leading Edge Flap Drive Unit pneumatic fitting for leakage.

 (a)  
If there is excessive leakage, change the fitting o-rings or repair the fitting.

 (16) Do this task to pressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (Ref 29-11-00/201).
