 WARNING: MAKE SURE PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE FLAPS
_______ BEFORE YOU MOVE THE REVERSE THRUST LEVERS. THE ENGINE THRUST REVERSER SLEEVES WILL OPEN IN 1 1/2 SECONDS AND CLOSE IN 4 1/2 SECONDS WHEN YOU OPERATE THE LEVERS. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (d)  
Move No. 3 and 4 reverse thrust levers to the stowed position.

 (e)  
Move No. 1 and 2 levers to full reverse thrust position.

 (f)  
Move the flap control lever to the FLAP UP detent and wait for the LE flaps to retract.

 (g)  
Move the flap control lever back to the 5-unit detent. 1) Make sure the LE flaps move to the extended position.

 (h)  
Move No. 2 reverse thrust lever to the stowed position. 1) Make sure the LE flaps stay in the extended position.

 (i)  
Move the No. 3 lever to the reverse thrust position. 1) Make sure the LE flaps stay in the extended position.

 (j)  
Move No. 1 reverse thrust lever to the stowed position. 1) Make sure the LE flaps stay in the extended position.

 (k)  
Move the No. 2 lever to the reverse thrust position. 1) Make sure group A LE flaps retract.

 (l)  
Move the No. 1 and 4 levers to the reverse thrust position. 1) Make sure group A LE flaps stay in the retracted position.

 (m)  
Move No. 2 and 3 reverse thrust levers to the stowed position. 1) Make sure group A LE flaps stay in the retracted position.

 (n)  
Move No. 1 reverse thrust lever to the stowed position. 1) Make sure group A LE flaps extend.

 (o)  
Move No. 4 reverse thrust lever to the stowed position. 1) Make sure group A LE flaps stay in the extended position.

 (p)  
Move the No. 2 lever to the reverse thrust position. 1) Make sure group A LE flaps stay in the extended position.

 (q)  
Move No. 2 reverse thrust lever to the stowed position. 1) Make sure group A LE flaps stay in the extended position.

 (r)  
Move the flap control lever to the FLAP UP detent. 1) Make sure groups A and B LE flaps retract.

 (s)  
Do the speed brake control system reactivation (AMM 27-62-00/201).

 WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE WING
 LEADING EDGE BEFORE YOU EXTEND THE FLAPS.  FLAPS EXTEND AND
 RETRACT QUICKLY AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO
 EQUIPMENT.
 CAUTION:_______ DO NOT ELECTRICALLY EXTEND OR RETRACT THE FLAPS MORE THAN ONE
 TIME IN 5 MINUTES.  DAMAGE TO THE MOTOR CAN OCCUR IF THE MOTOR

 BECOMES TOO HOT.
 (4)  
Do a test on the LE flap position (alternate electric drive).

 (a)  
Make sure the LE flaps are fully retracted.

 (b)  
On the pilots' center panel, push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to set the flap system in alternate control. 1) Make sure the EICAS caution message FLAPS CONTROL is

 displayed on EICAS. 2) Make sure the expanded flap bar display appears.

 (c)  
Move the flap control lever to the 5-unit detent. 1) Make sure the LE flaps do not move.

 (d)  
Move the flap control lever to the full UP detent. 1) Make sure the LE flaps do not move.

 (e)  
Move the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to the EXT position. 1) Make sure that each PDU in each wing extends or retracts

 the LE flaps electrically in 75-100 seconds. 2) Make sure the PDUs shut off automatically.

 (f)  
Move the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to the RET position. 1) Make sure that each PDU retracts the LE flaps electrically
