D. Do a Check of the EFIS Cooling System

(1) Do these steps to do a check of the Captains EHSI and EADI:
(a)
Loosen the fasteners on the Captains EHSI and EADI.
(b)
Move the EHSI and EADI aft until you can see the air inlet and exit holes.
(c)
Do a check of the grilles for lint, tobacco stains and all unwanted material.
NOTE:____You can clean the grilles with a moist cloth. When the grilles are clean, dry them with a dry clean cloth.

(2) Do these steps to do a check of the First Officers EHSI and EADI:
(a)
Loosen the fasteners on the First Officers EHSI and EADI.
(b)
Move the EHSI and EADI aft until you can see the air inlet and exit holes.
(c)
Do a check of the grilles for lint, tobacco stains and all unwanted material.
NOTE:____You can clean the grilles with a moist cloth. When the grilles are clean, dry them with a dry clean cloth.

Do a check of the flexible hoses behind the CRT box for the EFIS instrument.

Make sure the air outlets found below the floor are not blocked.

Make sure the duct is attached correctly.

Do a check of the low flow sensor.

(1) Do this step if you need main electrical power for more than 20 minutes and the ambient temperature is more than 100°F (37.8°C):
(a) Supply conditioned air to the cabin (Ref 21-00-00/201).
NOTE: This supplies cool air to the electrical equipment.

(c) Make sure these circuit breakers are closed: 1) NORM COOLING FAN CONT 2) ALT COOLING FAN CONT 3) L EFIS SYM GEN 4) L EFIS CONT PANEL 5) L EHSI 6) L EADI (d) Do a test of the EADI (AMM 34-22-21/401). (e) Do a test of the EHSI (AMM 34-22-31/401).
