_______ UNIT, YOU MUST DO AN OVERHAUL. IF WATER GOES INTO THE MOTOR OR THE STATOR, DRY IT FULLY WITH WARM AIR OR IN AN OVEN.
 ú (a) Soak the impellers in the detergent solution or solvent until
 ú the contamination loosens.
 ú 1) Use the solvent if the detergent solution does not
 ú completely clean the impellers.

 (b)  
Remove the contamination with a stiff-bristle brush or a wood spatula.

 (c)  
Flush the impellers fully with clean water if you used the detergent.

 (d)  
Dry the impellers with the lint-free wipers or dry compressed air.

 (6)  Install the keys and the impellers on the motor shaft.
 NOTE: Use the marks on the impellers to install it.

 (8)  Install the washers and the new self locking nuts. S 437-008
 (9)  Tighten the nuts to 80-100 pound-inches above the run-on torque. NOTE: The minimum back-off torque is 60 pound-inches.____

 EQUIPMENT COOLING BLOWER CHECK VALVES - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure has two tasks. The first task gives instructions for the removal of the check valves for the equipment cooling blowers. The second task gives instructions for the installation of the check valves.
 B.  There are two check valves. One check valve is downstream of the main blower for the equipment cooling system. The second check valve is downstream of the alternate blower for the equipment cooling system. The check valves and the blowers are adjacent to each other.
 C.  The removal and the installation of each check valve is the same.

Put the check valve in its position in the flexible duct.

Tighten the clamp nuts to 15 to 20 pound-inches.
