Air mix valve position indicator installation.
B. There are two air mix valve position indicators installed in the P5-17 Cabin Temperature Panel. One indicator shows the position of the mix valve that controls the flight cabin temperature. The other indicator shows the position of the mix valve that controls the passenger cabin temperature.
C. The removal and installation procedure is the same for the two air mix valve position indicators.

B. Prepare for the Removal

(1) Open this circuit breaker on the P6-4 panel and install a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) 6D3, POS IND
C. Air Mix Valve Position Indicator Removal

CAUTION:_______HOLD THE INDICATOR WHEN YOU LOOSEN THE CLAMP. THE INDICATOR CAN FALL WHEN THE CLAMP IS LOOSE. THE INDICATOR CAN BE DAMAGED IF IT FALLS.

Turn the clamp tension screw in the counterclockwise direction to loosen the clamp that holds the indicator to the P5-17 panel.

Carefully pull the air mix valve position indicator out of the P5-17 panel.

(3)
Disconnect the electrical connector from the air mix valve position indicator.

(1) Connect the electrical connector to the air mix valve position
indicator.
S 424-005
(2) Carefully push the air mix valve position indicator into its
position in the P5-17 panel.
S 424-006
(3) Tighten the clamp tension screw 5 to 8 in-lbs.
NOTE:____ Hold the indicator against the panel while you tighten
