RAM AIR SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. The tasks are:
(1)
Ram Air System Operational Test
(2)
Ram Air System Drag Test
B. The operational test makes sure that the system will operate correctly on the ground or in the air. During the test the flaps are retracted. The flaps must be retracted electrically. Instructions are also supplied to retract the flaps hydraulically.
C. The drag test makes sure that the mechanical friction is not more than an approved limit.

2. Ram Air System Operation Test_____________________________
A. General
(1)
The test of the modulation system for the ram air makes sure that:
(a)
The system controls the airflow during the flight.
(b)
The doors and the panels move to the correct position and supply the correct cooling airflow for the operation of the air conditioning packs on the ground and in flight.
(2)
Look at 20-10-27/201 before you use heating equipment on the system components during this test.
