(f)
Turn the arm until the louvers move to the full open position.
(g)
Install the 1/4-inch rigging pin to hold the louvers in the open position (Fig. 401, Detail D).
(h)
Make sure the ram air actuator is in the retracted position (ram air door is in the full open position).
(i)
Install the 5/16-inch rigging pin through the torque shaft quadrant (Fig. 401, Detail E).
(j)
Remove the tape which you installed to hold the torque shaft sections together.
(k)
Connect the universal joint to the arm.
(l)
Align the bolt holes of the torque shaft and install the bolts.
(m)
Align the pin holes in the universal joint with the pin holes in the arm.
NOTE: If the arm does not have the pin holes you will have to
____ drill the pin holes. Use a drill bit with a 0.190 (+0.002/-0.005) inch diameter.
(n)
Apply the primer to the spring pins.
(o)
Install the spring pins to attach the universal joint to the arm.
(p)
Connect the spring pins together with a new lockwire.
(q)
Remove the rigging pins.

Do the operational test of the ram air system (Ref 21-52-00/501).

Close the access doors for the air conditioning bay and the ram air duct.

1. General_______
A. This procedure gives instructions to replace these damaged components of the ram air exhaust modulation louver assembly: the louvers, the louver bearings, and the shafts.

Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Make sure these circuit breakers are closed on the P6 panel:
(a)
L RAM MOD
(b)
R RAM MOD
(c)
RAM MOD CONT
(3)
Operate the ram air system to open the louvers (Ref 21-52-00/501).
(4)
Make sure the louvers are in the full open position.
