C. Procedure

(1)
Make sure the new valve's position indicator shows that the valve is closed.

Put the valve between the duct ends and install the V-band clamps.
(a) Do not tighten the clamps.
NOTE: For the left 35°F control valve installation, install
____ the valve with the motor actuator side of the valve turned up 20 |10 degrees. For the right side, install the valve with the motor actuator side of valve turned down 20 |20 degrees.

Tighten the V-band clamps.

Connect the bonding jumper to the valve.

Connect the electrical connector to the valve.

Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Make sure that the applicable (the LEFT or the RIGHT) 35°F TEMP CONTROL circuit breaker on the P6 panel is closed.

Make sure that the 35°F control valve is closed.

Open the applicable TEMP CONTROL circuit breaker.

Remove the electrical connector from the 35°F control sensor.

Close the applicable TEMP CONTROL circuit breaker and make sure that the 35°F control valve opens.

Open the applicable TEMP CONTROL circuit breaker.
D. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Install the 35°F control sensor electrical connector.

Close the applicable TEMP CONTROL circuit breaker.

Make sure that the 35°F control valve closes.

Remove the electrical power if it is not necessary

Close the applicable equipment bay door for the air conditioning.

35°F CONTROLLER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

A. This procedure has these tasks:

B. The 35 Degree Controller is in the ECS equipment bay just outboard of the water separator on the outboard ECS bay bulkhead.

A. Access

B. Prepare for the Removal
S 864-001
(1) Do these steps to remove the controller for the left pack:
(a)
Open this circuit breaker on the P6-4 panel and install a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) 6A2 TEMP CONTROL 35 DEG F CONTROL L
(b)
Open the left ECS bay access door.

(2) Do these steps to remove the controller for the right pack:
(a)
Open this circuit breaker on the P6-4 panel and install a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) 6A1 TEMP CONTROL 35 DEG F CONTROL R
(b)
Open the right ECS bay access door.
