Adhesive tape, 1 inch wide, No. 474 Vinyl Plastic Tape, Minnesota Mining & Mfg. Co.

Fiberglass cloth, style 181, Uniglass Industries, Division of United Merchants' and Manufactures, Inc.
(4)
Resins, BMS8-301, Class 3 - two part composite structural repair
(5)
Abrasive Cloth, 400 grit
(6)
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Parting Film, Reynolds Metal Co.
(7)
G00033 Cheesecloth, BMS 15-5B, Class A (Woven)
B. Access
(1) Location Zone 212 Left Air Conditioning Equipment Bay 214 Right Air Conditioning Equipment Bay Air Duct 211 Left Ram Air Duct 213 Right Ram Air Duct
C. Procedure
S 028-002
(1)
Remove the piece of the ram air duct that has the defect.
S 348-003
(2)
Drill the ends of the cracks to make sure the cracks do not become larger.
S 118-004
(3)
Clean the damaged area and the adjacent area to the damage.
(a)
Apply the solvent, Series 91 (AMM 20-30-91/201) with the specified cloth.
(b)
Remove the solvent with the specified cloth before the solvent becomes gas.
S 348-005
(4) Do these steps to prepare the damaged area:
(a)
Make the damaged area lightly rough.
(b)
Make the damaged area rough one inch more than the area to be repaired.
(c)
Clean the rough area with the specified solvent and cloth.
