PASSENGER CABIN TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAN - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. One task is the removal of the temperature sensor fan for the passenger cabin. The other task is the installation of the temperature sensor fan for the passenger cabin.
TASK 21-61-34-004-001
2. Temperature Sensor Fan Removal (Fig. 401)______________________________
A. Access

107 Forward Half of Passenger Cabin
B. Procedure

(1)
Make sure that the R PACK switch is OFF.

(2)
Open this circuit breaker on the P6 panel, and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) TEMP CONTROL AUTOMATIC R

(3)
Lower the PSU assembly to get access to the five screws which attach the bullnose to the PSU beam.

Remove the screws.

(5)
Remove the bullnose.

(6)
Disconnect the three electrical connectors.

Attach a tag to each fan wire to show its correct location for later installation.

Do these steps to remove the sensor assembly:
(a)
Remove the two plug buttons.
(b)
Turn the studs 1/4 turn counterclockwise.
(c)
Remove the sensor assembly.
(9)
Remove the fan wires from the terminal board on the fan.

NOTE: Do not remove the ground wire from the metal flange.

(10) Remove the four bolts which attach the fan to the sensor assembly.

(11) Remove the fan. ú (a) Make a record of the orientation of the fan so that you can ú install it the same way.

(1) Put the temperature sensor fan in its position. ú (a) Make sure that you install the fan in the same orientation as ú you noted in the removal.

(2) Install the bolts which attach the fan to the sensor assembly.
NOTE: Make sure that the metal flange, with the ground wire
____ installed, is in its position before you install the bolts.
