CHECK VALVE (HOT AIR) - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. Two tasks are supplied in this procedure. The first task is the removal of the check valve in the duct that supplies hot air to the mix muff in the distribution bay. The second task is the installation of the check valve.
B. One check valve is installed in each of the air-conditioning bays. The removal and installation procedure is the same for each check valve.

(1) Supply electrical power to the airplane (AMM 24-22-00/201).

WARNING:_______REMOVE THE PRESSURE FROM THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM. PRESSURE IN THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Remove the pressure from the pneumatic system (AMM 36-05-00/201).

Set the L PACK and R PACK switches on the air conditioning module (P5-10 panel) to the OFF position.
(a) Install DO-NOT-OPERATE tags on the switches.

(4) Lower the applicable air-conditioning panel:

(b) 3403 - Right Air-Conditioning Access Panel
D. Procedure
S 024-006
(1) Remove the check valve:
(a)
Loosen the clamps that hold the check valve to the ducts.
(b)
Move the clamps away from the check valve.
(c)
Remove the check valve.
(d)
Put covers on the duct openings to prevent the entry of unwanted material.
