 D.  The position transmitters (potentiometers) driven by the mix valves provides a voltage proportional to the mix valve position and is sent back to the P5-17 module. The printed circuit card A1 in the module contains calibration for this voltage. This voltage is registered on the appropriate mix valve position indicator. The indicators are calibrated by positioning the mix valve transmitter on the mix valve and adjusting the potentimeters in the P5-17 module.
 E.  The adjustable potentiometers are numbered R2 and R3 and provide adjustment for indicator pointer sweep of passenger and control cabin mix valves.
 F.  The P5-17 module is located in the forward overhead panel. Refer to Position Indicator Control Unit Adjustment/Test for location of adjusting screws.

 C.  Prepare for the Adjustment

Open the equipment bay doors for the air conditioning.

Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Make sure that the pressure in the pneumatic system is zero (Ref 36-05-00/201).

Make sure the POSITION IND circuit breaker is closed.

Make sure all the circuit breakers on the P6-3 and the P6-4 panels for the air conditioning are closed.

Do a simulation of the pack valve in the open position:

 (a)  
Open the OVERHEAT circuit breaker.

 (b)  
Remove the connector from the limit switch of the pack valve.

 (c)  
Close the OVERHEAT circuit breaker.

 

 D.  Adjust the Transmitter

Make sure the mixture valves are in the fully COLD position.

Make sure the CABIN AIR MIX VALVE indicator is at the fully COLD position.
