PACK VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. The pack valves stop or let in the flow of air from the pneumatic manifold to the air conditioning system.
B. The pack valves are in the left and the right equipment bay for the air conditioning.

2. Remove the Pack Valve (Fig. 401)_____________________
A. Access
(1) Location Zones
212 Left Air Conditioning Bay
214 Right Air Conditioning Bay
B. Prepare for the Removal

(1) Open the equipment bay access door for the air conditioning.
C. Procedure

(1)
Remove the duct clamps and disconnect the support clamp of the hot air duct that is forward of the mixture valve.

(2)
Remove the hot air duct.
S 034-007
(3)
Disconnect the electrical connectors and the bounding jumper from the valve.
S 034-008
(4)
Disconnect the sense line for the cabin pressure at the pack valve.
(5)
Remove the aft and the forward clamp from the valve.

(6)
Remove the valve.

(a) Move it straight down.

Procedure

(1)
Put the valve into its position with the arrow in the aft direction.

Install but do not tighten the forward clamp on the valve.

Turn the valve as necessary to align it with the sense line for the cabin pressure and to give clear access to the test ports.
(a) You can move the heat detector wire if it is necessary.

Install but do not tighten the aft clamp on the valve.

Turn the forward clamp as necessary to let you tighten the clamp nut from the outboard side.

Connect the sense line for the cabin pressure.

Tighten the forward and the aft clamps.

Connect the electrical connectors and the bonding jumper.
