(4) S 976-004Measure the resistance from pin 23 to pin 24 on connector D454 for the temperature controller (WDM 21-61-01).
(5) S 976-005Find the temperature on Figure 601 that is nearest to the temperature that you wrote down.
(6) S 976-006Compare the permitted range of resistance for that temperature to the resistance you wrote down.
(7) S 026-007If the resistance is out of range, replace the sensor (AMM 21-61-61/401).
(8) S 416-008Install the temperature controller (AMM 21-61-81/401).

1. Remove the Fan for the Temperature Sensor of the Control Cabin (Fig. 401)

A. Access
(1) Location Zone

B. Prepare for the Removal

(1) Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) P6-4 Panel
1) TEMP CONTROL, AUTOMATIC, L

(2) Remove the lining in the control cabin that is outboard and forward of the air inlet for the temperature sensor.
C. Remove the Fan

(1)
Remove the duct clamp and the flexible duct from the fan duct assembly.

Remove the electrical connector of the fan assembly.

(3)
Release the 1/4-turn fasteners and remove the fan assembly from the structure.
(4)
Remove the wires from the terminal block.
S 034-007
NOTE: Make sure you see and write the positions of the wires of
____ different colors before you remove them. This will help to make sure you can install the wires in the correct positions.

(5) Loosen the fan/duct fasteners to remove the fan shoulder from the synclamps.
