 (b)  
Tighten the two clamps for the check valve which is downstream of the blower.

 (c)  
Disconnect the electrical connector on the blower.

 (d)  
Loosen the two duct clamps that attach the blower to the support.

 (e)  
Remove the blower.

 (f)  
Put covers on the duct openings to prevent the entry of unwanted materials.

 (4)  AIRPLANES WITHOUT A SEPARATELY INSTALLED CHECK VALVE FOR EACH BLOWER; Remove the blower (Fig. 401A):
 (a)  
Disconnect the electrical connector on the blower.

 (b)  
Remove the fasteners that hold the bonding jumper to the blower.

 (c)  
Loosen the two clamps that hold the blower in place.

 (d)  
Move the clamps away from the joints between the blower and the ducts.

 (e)  
Move the sleeves away from the joints.

 (f)  
Remove the fan.

 1)  Make a record of the position of the connector so that the replacement blower can be installed in the same position.

 (g)  
Put a cover on each duct opening.

 (1)  AIRPLANES WITH A SEPARATELY INSTALLED CHECK VALVE FOR EACH BLOWER; Install the blower (Fig. 401):
 (a)  Remove the duct covers.

 (b)  Put the blower on the support and attach it with the two clamps.
 NOTE: Make sure the flow indicator points down.

 (c)  
Connect the electrical connector to the blower.

 (d)  
Loosen the other clamps.

 (e)  
Put the flexible duct on the blower.

 (f)  
Put all the clamps in their usual position.

 (g)  
Tighten the clamp nuts to 15 to 20 pound-inches.

 (2)  AIRPLANES WITHOUT A SEPARATE CHECK VALVE FOR EACH BLOWER; Install the blower (Fig. 401A):
 (a)  
Remove the duct covers.

 (b)  
Install a sleeve on each end of the blower so that the sleeves are completely on the blower.

 (c)  
Put the blower in position between the ducts: 1) Make sure that the flow arrow points in the inboard direction.

 2)  Make sure that the connector is in the same position as it was when it was removed.

 (d)  
Slide the sleeves over the joints between the blower and the ducts.

 (e)  
Install the clamps over the sleeves.

 (f)  
Tighten the clamps to 20-25 pound-inches.

 (g)  
Install the bonding jumper to the blower with a screw, nut and washers.

 (h)  
Do a bonding resistance check between the bonding jumper and the blower (SWPM 20-00-00). 1) Make sure that the bonding resistance is not more than


 0.01 ohm.
 2)  Clean the connection (SWPM 20-00-00) between the bonding jumper and the blower if the bonding resistance is more than 0.01 ohm. a) Do one more check of the bonding resistance to make
 sure that the resistance is not more than 0.01 ohm.
