Make sure that the support rod for the mix valve is 7.55 inches between the bolt hole centers.
(2)
Make sure that the V-clamps are on the adjacent ducts.
(3)
Lift the mix valve into its position.

Install the bolt through the support rod and the mix valve lug. S 434-048
BAY IF THE CLAMP OR THE BOLTS EXTEND BELOW THE CLAMP RING.

Install the V-clamps but do not tighten them. S 824-019

Turn the mix valve to align it with the other ducts. NOTE: Do not change the support rod length to align the mix valve
CAUTION:_______ MAKE SURE THAT THE V-CLAMP AND THE FLEXIBLE COUPLING TRUNION
BOLTS DO NOT EXTEND BELOW THE LOWER SURFACE OF THE CLAMP RING.
YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ACCESS DOOR OF THE AIR CONDITIONING

Make sure that all four mix valve ports are in the same plane and connect with the duct openings.

If the mix valve does not connect with the ducts, do these steps:
(a)
Loosen the duct clamps.
(b)
Adjust the ducts until the mix valve connects to the ducts. S 434-022

Install the flexible couplings (Ref 21-51-61/401). S 434-023

Tighten the flexible couplings.
S 434-049 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU KEEP A MINIMUM CLEARANCE OF 0.10 INCHES
_______ BETWEEN THE AIR MIX VALVE AND THE ADJACENT HYDRAULIC TUBES. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

While you hold the mix valve, tighten all the loose clamps. S 214-025

Make sure that the bonding surfaces are clean. S 434-026

Install the bonding jumper.
