PASSENGER CABIN TEMPERATURE SENSOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. Two tasks are supplied in this procedure. The first task is the removal of the passenger cabin temperature sensor. The second task is the installation of the passenger cabin temperature sensor. The passenger cabin temperature sensor will be referred to as the temperature sensor.

Supply electrical power to the airplane (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Set these switches on the P5-10 air conditioning panel to the OFF position and attach DO-NOT-OPERATE identifiers:
(a)
L PACK
(b)
R PACK
(c)
RECIRC FAN

(3) Open this circuit breaker on the P6-4 panel, and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) 6A3, TEMP CONTROL AUTOMATIC R

Do these steps to remove the temperature sensor:
(a)
Remove the electrical connector from the temperature sensor.
(b)
Remove the fasteners from the sensor flange.
(c)
Remove the temperature sensor from the sensor duct.
(d)
Remove the gasket from the sensor duct.

(5) ON AIRPLANES WITH 20 INCH AISLES;
Do these steps to remove the temperature sensor:
(a)
Remove the electrical connectors from these items: 1) Temperature Sensor 2) Temperature Bulb 3) Fan
(b)
Remove the forward screw which attaches the sensor duct to the stowage bin (access is through the inlet duct).

Remove the plug button which closes the access hole to the middle screw.
(d)
Remove the middle screw.
(e)
Remove the screw which attaches the loop clamp to the stowage bin.
(f)
Remove the sensor assembly from the bullnose.
(g)
Remove the fasteners from the sensor flange.
(h)
Remove the sensor.
(i)
Remove the gasket from the sensor duct.
