 (g)  
Make sure the MASTER CAUTION and AIR COND annunciator lights go off.

 (h)  
Disconnect the electrical connector, D486, from the left pack valve again.

 (i)  
Move the L PACK switch to AUTO.

 (j)  
Make sure the MASTER CAUTION and AIR COND annunciator lights come on again.

 (k)  
Let the duct overheat switch become cool.

 (l)  
Install the duct overheat switch.

 (m)  
Push the TRIP RESET switch, on the P5.10 panel.

 (n)  
Make sure the CONT CABIN - DUCT OVERHEAT, MASTER CAUTION and AIR COND annunciator lights go off.

 (o)  
Move the CONT CABIN temperature selector switch to MANUAL WARM momentarily.

 (p)  
Make sure the indicator needle of the CONT CABIN . AIR MIX VALVE indicator moves away from the full COLD position.

 (q)  
Move the L PACK switch to OFF.

 (r)  
Make sure the indicator needle of the CONT CABIN . AIR MIX VALVE indicator does not move toward COLD.

 (s)  
Connect the electrical connector, D486, to the left pack valve.

 (t)  
Make sure the indicator needle of the CONT CABIN . AIR MIX VALVE indicator moves to the full COLD position.

 (18) Do a test of the 250°F duct overheat switch, S3:
 (a)  
Make sure that the L PACK switch is at OFF.

 (b)  
Remove the screws which hold the switch to the duct.

 (c)  
Remove the switch and its gasket from the duct.

 (d)  
Put a cover in the duct opening to keep out the unwanted materials.


 CAUTION: DO NOT LET THE TEMPERATURE OF THE SWITCH PROBE GET HOTTER
_______ THAN 260°F (127°C). DAMAGE TO THE SWITCH COULD OCCUR.
 (e)  
Use the specified heat source equipment to increase the temperature of the switch probe.

 (f)  
Make sure these lights come on when the switch probe
 temperature reaches temperature 250|10°F (121|6°C):
 1) Left PACK TRIP OFF light on the P5-10 panel
 2) MASTER CAUTION and AIR COND annunciator lights


 (g)  
Remove the heat from the switch probe.

 (h)  
Let the switch probe become cool.

 (i)  
Push the TRIP RESET switch on the P5-10 panel.

 (j)  
Make sure that the MASTER CAUTION, AIR COND and the PACK TRIP OFF lights go off.

 (k)  
Remove the cover from the duct opening.

 (l)  
Attach the switch and its gasket to the duct with the screws.

 I.  Automatic Mode Test - Temperature Control System (Passenger Cabin) S 715-053
 (1)  Do a test of the temperature sensor fan:
 (a)  
Move the R PACK switch to HIGH, on the P5-10 panel.

 (b)  
Move the AIR TEMP switch to PASS CABIN, on the P5-17 panel.

 (c)  
Monitor the temperature indicator, on the P5-17 panel, and make a record of the cabin temperature.

 (d)  
Hold a thin sheet of paper near the air inlet grille of the temperature sensor fan, to see if there is air movement through the grille.


 NOTE: This will show that the temperature sensor fan is in
____
 operation.

 (e)  
Use the specified air velocity instrument to measure the air flow into the air inlet grille.

 (f)  
Make sure the air velocity measurement is more than 150 feet per minute.

 (g)  
Move the R PACK switch to AUTO.

 (h)  
Make sure that the temperature sensor fan continues to operate.

 (i)  
Move the R PACK switch to OFF.

 (j)  
Make sure that the temperature sensor fan continues to operate.

 (k)  
Move the AIR TEMP switch to SUPPLY DUCT.

 (l)  
Monitor the temperature indicator and make sure the supply duct temperature is approximately the same as the cabin temperature.

 (2)  Do a test of the temperature bulb:
 (a)  
Remove the bullnose to get access to the temperature bulb.
