2) AIRPLANES WITHOUT RAM AIR EXHAUST LOUVERS (POST-SB 21-1123); The inlet modulation panels open.

(4) S 725-086Keep the scale at a right angle to the quadrant arm and slowly pull the quadrant through its travel.
(5) S 725-087Make sure the force on the scale is not more than 75 pounds.
(6) S 415-088Connect the actuator to the quadrant arm.

RAM AIR ACTUATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. Before you attach the ram air actuator to the torque shaft quadrant, you must make sure that:
(1)
The actuator is fully retracted.
(2)
The ram air system is fully open.
B. If the actuator that you remove has a bad motor, you must do these steps:
NOTE: You must do these steps only if you install an actuator with
____ the part number 541674-3 or -5. Actuators with these part numbers do not have motors that can operate with continuous power. A ram air controller that is defective and supplies constant power could cause the failure of an actuator.
(1)
Remove the ram air controller.
(2)
Do a check of the ram air controller with the manufacturer's test.
