CABIN AIR SUPPLY TEMPERATURE BULB - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. The cabin supply duct temperature bulb is in the overhead distribution manifold. Access to the bulb is through the sculptured ceiling panels.

2. Remove the Duct Temperature Bulb (Fig. 401)________________________________

C. Prepare for the Removal
S 864-001
(1) Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) P6-4 Panel
1) 6D2, TEMP IND
S 014-003
(2) Open the overhead ceiling panel (Ref 25-21-45/401).
D. Remove the Duct Temperature Bulb
S 034-007
(1)
Disconnect the electrical connector from the duct temperature bulb.
S 024-008
(2)
Remove the temperature bulb from the duct receptacle and remove the temperature bulb and the O-ring.

3. Install the Duct Temperature Bulb (Fig. 401)_________________________________

(1)
Remove the asbestos gasket on the bulb and replace it with the O-ring.

(2)
Lubricate the threads of the bulb with the antiseize compound.

(3)
Install the bulb in the duct receptacle.
S 434-009
(4)
Tighten the bulb.
S 434-011
(5)
Connect the electrical connector to the duct temperature bulb.
E. Do a Test of the Temperature Bulb

Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker:
(a) P6-4, load control center circuit breaker panel 1) 6D2, TEMP IND
S 714-014
(3) Put the air temperature selector to the SUPPLY DUCT position and make sure the temperature indicator shows a temperature that is approximately the same as the ambient temperature.
