 Connect the electrical connector, D486, to the left pack valve.

 G. Manual Mode Test - Temperature Control System (Passenger Cabin)

 (1)  
Disconnect the electrical connector, D490, from the right pack valve.

Move the R PACK switch to AUTO or HIGH, on the P5-10 panel.

 (3)  
Move the PASS CABIN temperature selector switch to MANUAL OFF, on the P5-17 panel.

 (4)  
Make sure the indicator needle of the PASS CABIN - AIR MIX VALVE indicator aligns with the inner mark at COLD, on the P5-17 panel.


 NOTE: This will show that the air mix valve is in the full cold

 position.

 (a)  Adjust the position transmitter of the right air mix valve if the indicator needle does not align with the inner mark at COLD (Ref 21-61-71/501).

Make sure the position of the visual indicator on the air mix valve agrees with the PASS CABIN - AIR MIX VALVE indicator.

Move the PASS CABIN temperature selector switch to MANUAL WARM.

 H. Automatic Mode Test - Temperature Control System (Control Cabin)

 CAUTION: DO NOT USE AN OHMMETER FOR A CONTINUITY CHECK OF THE
_______ TEMPERATURE SENSORS DURING THE TESTS. THE OHMMETER CAN DAMAGE THE THERMISTOR ELEMENTS OF THE TEMPERATURE SENSORS BEYOND REPAIR.
 (1)  Do a test of the temperature sensor fan:
 (a)  
Move the L PACK switch to HIGH, on the P5-10 panel.

 (b)  
Move the AIR TEMP switch to PASS CABIN, on the P5-17 panel.

 (c)  
Monitor the temperature indicator, on the P5-17 panel, and make a record of the cabin temperature.

 (d)  
Hold a thin sheet of paper near the air inlet grille of the temperature sensor fan, to see if there is air movement through the grille.


 NOTE: This will show that the temperature sensor fan is in
____
 operation.

 (e) (f) (g) (h) (i) (j) (k) (l)  Use the specified air velocity instrument to measure the air flow into the air inlet grille.Make sure the air velocity measurement is more than 150 feet per minute.Move the L PACK switch to AUTO.Make sure that the temperature sensor fan continues to operate.Move the L PACK switch to OFF.Make sure that the temperature sensor fan stops.Move the AIR TEMP switch to SUPPLY DUCT.Monitor the temperature indicator and make sure the supply duct temperature is approximately the same as the cabin temperature.
