If the gasket is damaged, do these steps to replace the gasket:
(a) Remove the gasket and all adhesive with a putty knife or similar tool that has a medium sharp edge.

Use methyl ethyl ketone, isopropyl alcohol, or ethyl alcohol to remove all of the remaining adhesive.
(c)
Do these steps to install a gasket that does not already have adhesive applied: 1) Apply a large quantity of the primer on the surfaces to be
bonded. 2) Let the primer dry for a minimum of 30-minutes. 3) Apply a constant layer of the adhesive. 4) Attach the surfaces as soon as it is possible after you
apply the adhesive.
NOTE: Apply sufficient pressure to make sure the
____ surfaces touch fully. Do not apply pressure that pushes the adhesive out from the surfaces.
5) Let the installation dry for 24 hours at 70 to 80°F or 45 to 60 minutes at 200 to 250-F.
(d) Do these steps to install a gasket that already has adhesive applied: 1) Remove the tape from the gasket. 2) Install the gasket on the heat exchanger.
NOTE: Make sure the heat exchanger surface is clean
____ and flat before you install the gasket.
E. Install the heat exchanger.

Hold the heat exchanger while you install the fasteners on the inboard side of the heat exchanger:
(a) For the primary heat exchanger, install the bolts and washers that attach the heat exchanger to the two clip assemblies and to the outlet duct for the ram air.
