Open the access door for the ram air duct.
(2)
Remove the electrical connector from the actuator.
(3)
Remove the bonding jumper from the actuator.

Remove the bolt assemblies at the top and bottom of the actuator that attach the actuator to the structure.

(5) Remove the ram air controller.
NOTE: You must remove the controller only if the actuator that
____ you will install has a part number of 541674-3 or -5.

Open the applicable circuit breaker on the P6-4 power panel: 1) AIR COND RAM MOD RIGHT C400 2) AIR COND RAM MOD LEFT C399
(b)
Install a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag on the circuit breaker.
(c)
Disconnect the electrical connector from the ram air controller.
NOTE: The ram air controller is installed on the inboard
____ side of the keel beam downstream of the turbofan.
(d) Remove the ram air controller (AMM 21-52-12/401).

(1) Install the ram air controller if it was removed.
(a) Make sure that a check has been performed on the ram air controller if you install an actuator with a part number of 541674-3 or -5.
NOTE: This will decrease the risk of the failure of the
____ actuator that is installed.
1) Use the instructions of the manufacturer of the ram air controller to do the check.
(b) Install the ram air controller (AMM 21-52-12/401).

Connect the electrical connector to the ram air controller.
(d)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag from the circuit breaker on the P6-4 power panel.
(e)
Close the applicable circuit breaker on the P6-4 panel: 1) AIR COND RAM MOD RIGHT C400 2) AIR COND RAM MOD LEFT C399

Manually turn the torque shaft quadrant until you can install the rigging pin.

Install the rigging pin.

Put the actuator in its position and install the bolt assemblies at the top of the actuator.

Install the electrical connector.

CAUTION: MANUALLY HOLD THE ACTUATOR AWAY FROM THE TORQUE SHAFT QUADRANT
_______ WHEN YOU DO THE TEST. IF THE ACTUATOR AND TORQUE SHAFT QUADRANT TOUCH WITH THE RIGGING PIN INSTALLED, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN RESULT.
