E. Prepare for the Cleaning
S 027-042
(1) At the air inlet to the passenger cabin temperature sensor, do these steps to remove the grille and filter:
(a)
Put the metal rod into the hole at the edge of the grille until the spring catch releases.
(b)
Remove the grille and the filter.
S 037-005
(2) On the control cabin temperature sensor, do these steps:
(a)
Remove the fasteners from the grille.
(b)
Remove the grille and the filter.

(3)
Remove the temperature sensor and/or the temperature bulb
(Ref 21-61-31/401 and/or 21-62-25/401).

(4)
Remove the passenger cabin temperature sensor fan
(Ref 21-61-34/401).

Remove the control cabin temperature sensor (Ref 21-61-61/401).

Remove the control cabin temperature sensor fan (Ref 21-61-64/401).
F. Clean the Components
S 117-031
(1) Do these steps to clean the temperature bulb, the temperature sensor, and the temperature sensor probes:
(a)
Clean the components with a cloth that is moist with the detergent solution.
(b)
Clean the components with the isopropyl alcohol if the contamination continues to occur on the components.
NOTE: Clean the components again with the detergent solution
____ after you use the isopropyl alcohol.
