WATER SEPARATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

TASK 21-51-31-004-001
1. Remove the Water Separator (Fig. 401)__________________________
A. Access
(1) Location Zones
212 Left Air Conditioning Equipment Bay
214 Right Air Conditioning Equipment Bay
B. Prepare for the Removal

(1) Lower the air conditioning equipment bay door.
C. Remove the Separator

(1)
Remove the electrical connector from the 35°F temperature sensor.

(2)
Remove the clamp that holds the overboard drain seal to the water separator drain boss.
(a) Keep the seal so that you can use it with the new separator.

(3) Disconnect the water spray injector line from the boss on the extractor.
(a) Remove and discard the O-Ring.

(4)
Disconnect the duct clamps from the forward and the aft ends of the water separator.

(5)
Hold the water separator and remove support bracket clamp.

(6)
Remove the water separator.

(7)
Remove the 35°F temperature sensor and keep it for installation on the new water separator.

2. Install the Water Separator (Fig. 401)___________________________

(1) Antiseize Compound - EASE-OFF 990 (Ref 20-30-21).
